The AI Development Strategy of Ukraine Was Discussed in Kyiv

At the end of August, the first meeting of the AI Committee of the IT Ukraine Association and the developers of Ukraine’s AI Development Strategy took place in Kyiv. The strategy aims to set long-term development guidelines for the industry until 2030 within the framework of the global WINWIN Digital Innovation Development Strategy.
Participants included representatives of the consulting company Digital Nation (Estonia), Siim Sikkut and Sigrit Siht; Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Digital Transformation, Head of AI at the WINWIN project office, Luukas Ilves.
During the discussion, the parties outlined the key provisions of the future Strategy, current challenges for the state, business, and academic community, as well as possible mechanisms for integrating the Ukrainian AI sector into the global context — from aligning open data standards to talent development and the creation of joint R&D projects.
CEO of FAVBET Tech, Artem Skrypnyk, emphasized that it is important for Ukraine to turn the discussion on artificial intelligence into a concrete roadmap with measurable goals: from data infrastructure and digital services security to workforce training:
"We support teamwork between the state, business, and experts on a Strategy that will help Ukrainian products remain competitive in global markets while also being responsible for the societal impact of technology."
